The Fulton-Montgomery Community College women's basketball team put together a dominant weekend performance, earning back-to-back victories over Jefferson Community College and Finger Lakes Community College to continue their strong Region 3 play.
FMCC 78, Jefferson CC 60
The Lady Raiders pulled away in the second half to secure a 78–60 win over Jefferson Community College on Friday night. After a tight first half, FMCC used a strong third quarter followed by a decisive 27-point fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.
Cloey Dopp led the offensive charge with 19 points, knocking down five three-pointers. Hailey Monroe matched her with 19 points while adding eight assists and five steals in an all-around effort. Kieonna Christmas recorded a triple-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, anchoring the Raiders on both ends of the floor.
Mattingly Hindes provided a spark off the bench, scoring 11 points on efficient shooting.
FMCC 81, Finger Lakes CC 29
The Lady Raiders carried its momentum into Sunday's road matchup, delivering a dominant 81–29 victory over Finger Lakes Community College. The Raiders jumped out early, holding FLCC to just three points in the opening quarter, and never looked back.
Hailey Monroe paced FMCC with 18 points, while Christmas added 16 points and 10 rebounds. Dopp chipped in 12 points and three assists, and Shiasia Williams posted 11 rebounds to go along with nine points.
With the weekend sweep, the Raiders continue to stay at the top of Region 3 standings. They will host SUNY Adirondack on Thursday, February 5th at 5:00 p.m.
