The Fulton Montgomery Community College Lady Raiders closed out the fall semester portion of their season with a hard-fought contest Saturday afternoon, falling 70–64 to Jamestown Community College.
Jamestown and FM traded baskets throughout the opening half, with the teams deadlocked at 20–20 after the first quarter. The Jayhawks carried that momentum into the second period, outscoring the hosts 15–13 to take a slim 35–33 advantage into halftime.
Jamestown regained control in the third quarter, using an 18–9 run to open a seven-point lead. The Lady Raiders continued to battle in the fourth, holding Jamestown to 17 points and cutting into the deficit, but Jamestown was able to hold on down the stretch to secure the six-point victory.
Fulton-Montgomery was led by a balanced scoring attack, with Hailey Monroe pacing the team with 21 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and an impressive 10 steals. Kieonna Christmas added 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Shiasia Williams controlled the glass with 15 rebounds to go along with eight points.
The game marked the conclusion of FM's fall semester schedule, providing valuable experience and setting the stage for a strong return after the break. The Lady Raiders will resume action in the spring semester when they travel to Albany College of Pharmacy on January 11th.
