The Fulton-Montgomery Community College women's basketball team opened its 2025–26 season in style, picking up a pair of commanding road victories over Bronx Community College and Orange County Community College this past weekend.
FMCC kicked off its season with a strong all-around performance, defeating Bronx Community College 62–39 behind a balanced offensive attack and suffocating defense.
Sophomore Hailey Monroe led the way with a near triple-double, posting 22 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and seven steals. Kieonna Christmas added 15 points and eight boards, while Cloey Dopp contributed nine points and three assists.
The Raiders controlled the glass with 50 total rebounds and forced 17 steals, holding Bronx to single digits in both the first and third quarters.
FMCC followed up Saturday's win with a dominant 87–35 victory over Orange County CC. The Raiders built a 50–10 halftime lead and never looked back, showcasing their depth and unselfish play.
Christmas led the scoring burst with 22 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, while Monroe added 18 points and four steals. Dopp chipped in 16 points on 4-of-10 shooting from deep, and Shiasia Williams recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
The Lady Raiders (2-0) return home on Saturday, November 15th to host Genesee, looking to carry their early momentum into regional play.
