BROWNWOOD, TX — The Fulton-Montgomery CC Raiders dropped a 68–57 decision to Minnesota West Community & Technical College on Friday afternoon in the semifinal round of the national tournament in Brownwood, Texas.
FMCC moves to 24–4 overall and will now compete in the third-place consolation game on Saturday against Northland.
Minnesota West jumped out to an early lead, taking the first quarter 17–9. The Raiders responded in the second quarter with a strong defensive effort, limiting Minnesota West to just nine points while scoring 17 of their own to even the game 26–26 at halftime.
The contest remained close early in the second half, but Minnesota West regained momentum in the third quarter behind the play of Katrina Schutz and Sadie Krahling. The Raiders entered the fourth quarter trailing 44–37 and continued to battle, but Minnesota West was able to hold off the late push to secure the 68–57 victory.
Sophomore Kieonna Christmas led the Raiders with a dominant performance, finishing with 28 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. Christmas shot 12-for-28 from the field and added two blocks.
Cloey Dopp chipped in 12 points, connecting on four three-pointers, while Hailey Monroe contributed 10 points, five assists, and four steals. Mattingly Hindes added six rebounds off the bench to help the Raiders on the glass.
Despite the setback, FMCC remains in contention for a podium finish and will play in the third-place game on Saturday as the Raiders look to close out their strong 2025–26 campaign on a high note.
