Lady Raiders Earn No. 5 Seed, Set to Face RCSJ in National Tournament

The Fulton-Montgomery CC Lady Raiders are headed back to the national stage after earning the No. 5 seed in the upcoming NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship. The Lady Raiders return to the big dance for the fourth time in program history and second time in three years.

Fulton-Montgomery will open tournament play against Rowan College South Jersey - Gloucester on Wednesday, March 11 at 3:00 PM (EST) in the first round.

The Lady Raiders enter the tournament riding a wave of momentum after compiling an impressive 22–3 overall record and winning their last 16 consecutive games. Throughout the season, Fulton-Montgomery has been one of the most complete teams in the region, combining high-scoring offense with one of the strongest defenses in NJCAA Division III.

FM averages 76.6 points per game while holding opponents to just 46.8 points per contest, creating a nearly 30-point scoring margin. The Raiders have also controlled the boards all season long, averaging 50.1 rebounds per game and posting a +11.9 rebounding margin.

Offensively, Fulton-Montgomery relies on balanced scoring and ball movement, averaging 29.4 made field goals and 17.2 assists per game. The Lady Raiders also stretch defenses with their perimeter shooting, knocking down 8.8 three-pointers per game.

Defensively, FM has been particularly dominant. Opponents are shooting just 28.7% from the field and 20.6% from three-point range against the Raiders. Fulton-Montgomery also creates opportunities with pressure defense, forcing 21.4 turnovers per game while averaging 14.1 steals.

Standing across the court will be Rowan College of South Jersey–Gloucester, which enters the tournament with a 21–6 overall record and a seven-game winning streak. RCSJ averages 68.1 points per game while allowing 54.6 points per contest, and like Fulton-Montgomery, relies heavily on rebounding and defensive pressure.

Rowan averages 47.7 rebounds per game and carries a +11.5 rebound margin, while opponents shoot just 30.8% from the field against them. Offensively, the team distributes the ball well with 17.3 assists per game, and converts 66.8% from the free-throw line.

Wednesday's matchup will feature two teams that excel defensively and control the boards, setting the stage for a competitive opening-round contest.
