After trailing 2-0 early, the Fulton-Montgomery Community College men's soccer team roared back with five unanswered goals, four in the second half, to defeat SUNY Adirondack 5-2 on the road Wednesday afternoon.
Luis Rincón finished a key play in the 45th minute off a feed from Juri Barnstorf-Brandes, shifting momentum heading into halftime.
The second half was all Raiders. In the 61st minute, Augusto Silva buried the equalizer on an assist from Jona Gramer, sparking an offensive explosion. Just four minutes later, Gramer tallied a goal of his own, set up by Zak Reid, giving FM its first lead of the match.
Juri Barnstorf-Brandes made it 4-2 in the 74th minute after a well-placed assist from Vito Bettendorf, and Adam Rose capped the scoring in the 88th minute, converting a pass from Silva.
The Raiders will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup as they continue pushing toward postseason play. They will host Onondaga on Saturday, October 4th at 1pm at Gloversville High School.
