A big first-half surge proved to be the difference Sunday afternoon as Fulton-Montgomery Community College Men's Basketball team fell to Mohawk Valley Community College, 91-84.

The Raiders battled throughout the second half, outscoring MVCC 56-43 after the break, but an early 20-point halftime deficit was too much to overcome.

Craig Guest, Jr. delivered a standout performance for Fulton-Montgomery, pouring in 38 points on 15-of-27 shooting, including 5-of-12 from three-point range. Guest was aggressive from the opening tip and kept the Raiders within striking distance with timely perimeter shooting and strong finishes at the rim.

Andre Jackson added 19 points and dished out a game-high seven assists, while Javon Smith chipped in 12 points. Jeravontae Russell controlled the glass with 11 rebounds to go along with six points, and Jordon Knight contributed six assists.

The Raiders are back in action on Tuesday, February 17th at Dutchess Community College.
