The Fulton-Montgomery Community College men's basketball team erased a 16-point halftime deficit and delivered a strong second-half performance to earn a 78-75 victory over Clinton Community College on Tuesday night at home.
The Raiders trailed 48–32 at the break after Clinton shot efficiently in the opening half, but FMCC flipped the script after halftime, outscoring the visitors 46–27 over the final 20 minutes to complete the comeback.
Andre Jackson led all scorers with 19 points while adding 10 rebounds and five assists, anchoring the Raiders on both ends of the floor. Jordon Knight followed with 16 points and seven rebounds, and Brady Smith provided a spark off the bench with 14 points, including a pair of three-pointers.
Jeravontae Russell recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while McKenzey Johnson contributed nine points and six boards. CJ Borgard added seven points and three assists, helping fuel the second-half surge.
FMCC's defense proved to be the difference down the stretch, forcing key stops and limiting Clinton to just 27 points in the second half. The Raiders also controlled the glass, finishing with a 45–32 rebounding advantage.
The Raiders look to carry their momentum into their next game on Thursday, February 5th when they host SUNY Adirondack at 7:00 p.m.
