Fulton-Montgomery Community College men's basketball held off a late push from St. John Fisher JV to escape with an 80–78 road victory Saturday afternoon.
The Raiders leaned on a dominant backcourt performance from Craig Guest, Jr. and Andre Jackson, who combined for 47 points to power FMCC to its third straight win.
FMCC took a slim 41–39 advantage into halftime after a tightly contested opening 20 minutes. Guest Jr. found his rhythm early, knocking down four three-pointers in the first half, while Jackson attacked the paint and finished through contact to keep the Raiders in front.
Guest, Jr. led all scorers with 24 points, shooting 4-for-12 from beyond the arc, and added four steals. Jackson followed with 23 points, four assists, three steals and a block, giving FMCC a well-rounded two-way presence.
Brady Smith chipped in 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds, while Javon Smith provided a spark off the bench with eight points. The Raiders also received solid contributions on the glass from CJ Borgard, who finished with five rebounds and three assists.
The Raiders next contest will be on Wednesday, January 14th when they travel to take on the SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves.
