The men's basketball team got tripped up on Sunday afternoon, falling 87–63 to a strong Bunker Hill Community College squad.
After a slow first half that saw the Raiders trail 45–24 at the break, FMCC found more rhythm offensively in the second half, scoring 39 points and battling with energy until the final buzzer.
Freshman Craig Guest Jr. led the Raiders with 17 points, hitting a pair of three-pointers and adding three steals. Sophomore guard Andre Jackson provided a spark off the bench with 12 points and five rebounds, while Jeravontae Russell chipped in eight points and four boards. Matthew Carter added seven points and six rebounds in a balanced effort inside.
The Raiders (1-1) return to action this week when they travel to Clinton Community College on Wednesday in their first conference game of the season.
