Ej Gallup, first year head basketball coach, is eager to announce the commitment of Joey Rowback, local standout, to the FMCC Men's Basketball program for the 2020-21 season.
Rowback is a senior at Gloversville High School and helped lead his team to the Section II Class A Final Four this past season.
The senior standout is a 6'4" combo guard and will have an immediate impact for the Raiders. He averaged 21 points per game in his senior season and reached the 1,500-point scoring milestone, making him 3rd on the Gloversville boys all-time scoring list.
Joey was named a 1st team Foothills Council All-Star and made the 13th all-state team in his senior season.
Gallup is looking forward to the upcoming season and the addition of Rowback. "We couldn't have hand picked a better kid than Joey to be our first commit at FMCC to become a Raider. For me, Joey is my first recruit as a head coach, and it is obviously a bit more special to me that he is a Gloversville kid. I saw and covered probably 75% of his high school games in the last three years. We are getting a great kid and one of the top 2-3 players in the Foothills Council for the past 3 years. The sky is the limit for Joey and I'm excited to get to work on helping him achieve his goals as a student-athlete," said Gallup.
