The men's and women's cross country teams opened their season on Saturday at the SUNY Poly Wildcat Classic. The women competed in a 6K race and the men competed in an 8K race.
Fifty-one female runners competed across nine teams. Clarkson, Utica and Potsdam took the top three places for the women's race. FM's Kira Williams finished 30th with a time of 28:51. Maria Fernandez came in 44th at 37:49, Tianna Harrigan at 57:07 and Christina Colon at 57:10.
On the men's side there were 77 runners across nine teams. Clarkson, Utica and SUNY Poly secured the top three team places. Jon Hendley finished the 8K at 33:46, good for 55th place. Aldrik Adames finished 73rd with a time of 48:10.
The Raiders will be back in action on Saturday, October 5th when the travel to Hamilton College.
